Vapour Permeable Insulation System

MULTIPOR mineral insulation blocks and Ecomortar R 100
Ready mixed mineral render

Ready mixed mortars specially suitable to be used in conjunction
with MULTIPOR light weight mineral insulating blocks. Totally cement free.
NO shrinkage, exceptional elasticity and fast setting properties. Excellent vapour
permeability will not allow accumulation of condensation.

The MULTIPOR AND Ecomortar R100 external or internal mineral insulation system can achieve astonishing results in thermal insulation performance (coefficient of thermal diffusion of 0.02) ensuring very low energy consumption.

Shelf life : 1 year from date of production if stored correctly.
Granulometries : standard 0.6mm. Also available at 1.3 and 1.8mm maximum grain size.
Precautions : do not apply in temperatures below 8oC or over 30oC. Protect work from adverse weather conditions until the finishing coat is applied, cured and painted. In hot weather, cure with light water mist for the first 48 hours. Observe current health and safety regulations.
Mortar preparation : Mix for few minutes adding 6-7 litres of clean water per bag. Do NOT over saturate the mortar.
Mortars are workable for up to 4 hours, depending on weather conditions.

Application on MULTIPOR insulating blocks :

  1. Bonding the blocks to the background : use the same mortar as the bonding mortar for the Multipor mineral blocks. Once these are appplied, wait 4 hours before rendering or plastering on the blocks.
  2. As a Render/Plaster on MULTIPOR insulating blocks : Apply a first coat of 5 mm maximum. Bed in a fiber glass mesh. The second coat (finishing coat) of 3-4mm can be applied as required by the work schedule. For external works the finish will be protected with a waterproofed paint coat or mineral paint.
  3. Application on other surfaces : possible on most surfaces, please consult us.
